Important Characteristics
• Clear, nearly colourless,
odourless, tasteless liquid.
• Mild irritation to eyes.
• Avoid contact with eyes
• Low toxicity and not considered
hazardous to human beings.
Hazards/Preventive/First-Aid
Fire
• Use dry powder, foam, carbon
dioxide for extinguishing. Do not use
water.
Inhalation
• Not relevant.
Skin
• Wear gloves.
• Remove contaminated clothes.
• Wash with water and soap.
Eyes
• Use protective goggles.
• Immediately flush eyes with
copious amounts of water (10 minutes),
take to doctor if necessary
• Flush oral cavity, drink
plenty of water, see a physician if nessary.
Spillage
• Transfer product to suitably
labeled containers for disposal at an
apprival site.
• Absorb spillge onto inert
material(e.g. sand)
• Wash away residue and small
spillage with water and sodium bicarbonate
or soda ash.
Handling and Storage
